‘Tis the season! Christmas is only a few weeks away, and the Lake of the Ozarks area is hosting multiple Christmas themed events designed to help residents and visitors embrace the holiday season. Christmases On The Square
The cities of both Camdenton and Versailles are hosting Christmas On The Square events on Saturday, December 3rd. The festivities in Versailles will last from 1:00 – 5:00 PM, and the ones in Camdenton will be held from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Both events will have a variety of attractions for people of all ages, including games, crafts, sweet treats, and more.
Holiday Lights
Children aren’t the only ones who enjoy Christmas lights! No matter what your age, there is something truly magical about driving through Christmas light displays with your family. The Lake Area is home to multiple light displays for you to enjoy:
- Enchanted Village of Lights (Laurie Fairgrounds) ~ 5:00 – 9:00 PM daily (10:00 PM on weekends)
- St. Patrick’s Festival of Lights (Shrine of St. Patrick in Laurie) ~ 6:00 – 10:00 PM daily
- Unity Circle of Lights (Versailles City Park) ~ Dark – Midnight daily
- Holiday Lights (Osage Beach City Park) ~ Evenings Wednesdays – Sundays
Christmas Village & Ice Skating
Old Kinderhook hosts one of the biggest holiday events of the year. Their Christmas Village offers a huge variety of holiday activities, including gingerbread house making, horse-drawn carriage rides, s’mores around the fire pit, elf storytelling, and more. They are also home to the Lake Area’s only outdoor ice skating rink. Their Christmas Village is open every weekend from now through Christmas Day.
Christmas For Kids
Held at the Lodge of Four Seasons, Christmas for Kids is a huge annual benefit designed to aid underprivileged children in the Lake Area. This formal, 21-and-up event will be held on Saturday, December 10th. Festivities will kick off with a VIP cocktail party at 5:30 PM, followed by a private dinner at 6:30 PM, and general admission opening at 7:30 PM. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and a silent auction. In addition to local children, proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lake Regional Pediatrics, Wonderland Camp, LOSA, Hope House, Share The Harvest Food Pantry, Kids’ Harbor, and the YMCA.
Lake Ozark Christmas Parade
The annual “Christmas Magic” parade will travel down Bagnell Dam Boulevard on December 10th from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. Stick around and enjoy multiple family-friendly attractions immediately following the parade, including a bonfire, hot chocolate, Christmas caroling, and a meet & greet with Santa.
