Be aware of your surroundings and boat at a safe speed. When there are several other boaters on the water, it can be easy to get distracted, but stay alert. It doesn’t take long for a boating accident to occur, and they do happen. Be aware of the directions the other boaters are headed in and boat accordingly. Also, watch for swimmers and paddle boaters who may be in the area. Be respectful of no wake zones.
